This 8-week meditation-based depression and anxiety group is for people suffering in silence. Men and Women will be grouped separately.
Dr. De Lorenzana will teach you how to diminish and eventually stop the constant suffering in your head through the ancient lens of insight meditation (aka “mindfulness meditation”). Through easy-going teachings, Q&A, discussion and meditation practice we provide a raft to help you “check your head” by returning to your own basic sanity. Let the power of group process and meditation keep you afloat in these trying times. This group is suitable for those suffering from mild-moderate depression and anxiety who are able to participate in a group setting.
**Chairs available for meditation and our groups are open to both beginners and advanced meditators.**
Our physicians facilitate Group Medical Visit (GMV) programs and these are not to be confused with courses or counselling. Group medical visits offer a new and time-efficient way of caring for patients who share the same chronic condition. Patients are invited to attend these sessions to receive care, education, and advice within a supportive group environment. Here is an article if you are curious to learn more! Group medical visits: Enhancing chronic illness care
There are no upfront costs to our groups and group medical visits are covered by MSP for patients with a medical diagnosis that is relevant to the group topic. Please note that registering your interest in a group medical visit program does not guarantee participation but initiates the intake process.
